Our Story

Rooted in North Yorkshire

We believe that wellness should be deeply connected to nature, crafted with patience, and backed by traditional wisdom.

Deep in the mist-filled woodlands of North Yorkshire, we cultivate our premium functional mushrooms. Unlike industrial mass manufacturers, we manage every step of our cultivation by hand, ensuring that only the most robust, high-quality fruiting bodies are selected.

Our team combines years of mycological passion with rigorous double-extraction techniques. By keeping our volumes small, we preserve the potency and bio-active richness of every single bottle we fill. We offer local provenance that you can trace, batch by batch.

Small Batch Production

Every batch is produced with care and attention, not mass manufactured. We keep volumes small so we can keep the quality bar high.

Made in Yorkshire

Produced in North Yorkshire using carefully cultivated mushrooms. Local provenance you can trace, batch by batch.

Dual Extraction

Our tinctures are produced using both ethanol and water extraction, drawing out a full spectrum of beneficial compounds from the fruiting body.

Fruiting Body Focused

Produced using fruiting bodies rather than unnecessary mycelium fillers. More of what matters. Nothing that doesn't.

Our Craft & Science

From Cultivation To Bottle

Our tinctures are produced using ethanol and water extraction and bottled in small batches in Yorkshire

Careful Cultivation & Ethical Wildcrafting

We utilize a rigorous dual extraction process to ensure a full-spectrum extract. We begin with an Organic Ethanol extraction to effectively break down the mushroom’s hard chitin cell walls and draw out non-polar, ethanol-soluble compounds (such as triterpenes and adaptogenic phenols). This is followed by a hot-water extraction to draw out water-soluble polar compounds, including beta-glucans and immunomodulating polysaccharides. This combined method ensures maximum bioavailability and potency.

Dehydration & Cellular Prep

Once harvested at the peak of their nutritional potency, the fruiting bodies are thoroughly cleaned and immediately placed into our custom drying chambers. We dry them at precise, low temperatures to lock in delicate active compounds while preparing the chitinous cell walls for extraction.

Traditional Dual Extraction

To extract the complete, full spectrum of beneficial compounds, we use a rigorous dual extraction process. First, a hot-water extraction draws out the water-soluble polar compounds, specifically beta-glucans and immunomodulating polysaccharides. Second, an organic ethanol extraction draws out the non-polar, ethanol-soluble compounds, such as triterpenes, hericenones, and adaptogenic phenols.

Amber Bottling & Strict Lab Checks

The final, combined extract is filtered twice and poured into dark amber glass apothecary dropper bottles. The amber glass blocks harmful UV rays, protecting the active compounds from degradation. Every batch undergoes density, ABV, and purity checks to guarantee it conforms to our high quality standard before shipment.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a dual extraction process, and why is it important?

Medicinal mushrooms contain active compounds locked behind tough cell walls made of chitin (the same material as crab shells). Humans cannot digest chitin easily. A dual extraction uses hot water to extract water-soluble compounds (like immune-supportive beta-glucans) and organic ethanol to extract ethanol-soluble compounds (like cognitive-supporting triterpenes and hericenones). This guarantees you get the complete spectrum of beneficial compounds from the mushroom.

We recommend taking 1ml to 2ml (approximately 1 to 2 full droppers) daily. You can squeeze the dropper directly under your tongue for rapid absorption, or add it to your morning coffee, tea, water, or smoothies. Consistency is key with adaptogens; taking them daily yields the best wellness benefits.

The “fruiting body” is the actual visible mushroom itself (the cap and stem). Some commercial brands sell products made from “mycelium on grain,” which is essentially the root system of the mushroom grown on rice or oats, resulting in a product that is mostly starch filler. We use only the pure fruiting bodies in our dual extractions, ensuring a highly potent product with maximum active ingredients and no grain fillers.

Yes! We cultivate our wood-loving species (Lion’s Mane, Shiitake, Maitake, Turkey Tail and Reishi) inside our custom grow facilities in North Yorkshire using locally sourced, organic agricultural wood waste. This circular agricultural model is highly sustainable. Wild species like Chaga are sustainably hand-foraged in sparse quantities to ensure zero ecological damage to local woodlands.

Due to the ethanol content (30% ABV) acting as a natural preservative, our tinctures have a very long shelf life of 2 years from bottling. Keep them stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. There is no need to refrigerate them after opening.
